Rick Shaw is a true Miami radio legend. Raised in the Midwest, he arrived in South Florida in 1960 and never looked back. In his 47 years in Miami radio he saw it all…from the early days of Top 40, the payola scandal (he asn't involved, but he has stories) and the British Invasion, to the rise of FM. Along the way, he helped launch Beatlemania in Miami, met the Fab Four, took part in some "friendly rivalry" with competing station WFUN, and at one time earned a record 54 share of South Florida listeners. He also brought rock 'n roll to television, with  weekday morning show, and a bandstand-style sock hop on Saturdays. His last job was on Majic 102.7 After playing "Goodnight My Love" for the last time  (it was a song he closed his show with in the 60's) Rick retired in 2007, but is still active

in the community and as President of the Majic Children's Fund.
